Himalayan Natives Original Cow Ghee is made from the nutritious milk of grass-fed cows. This ghee is 100% natural with no preservatives or chemicals.

How is the texture and consistency of Original Cow Ghee?

Usually, the consistency of the ghee depends on the storage or room temperature. At room temperature, it usually remains soft, and in cold storage environments, it turns solid. Depending on the temperature outside the jar, this process may happen quickly or slowly. It is perfectly normal for ghee to be liquid, solid, or a combination of consistencies.

How and where do you source milk from Cows?

For this Original Cow Ghee, our cows are kept and treated with utmost respect and love in our mineral-rich farms. They are freely grass-fed, not grain fed, and not injected with hormones for increasing milk productivity.

The texture of a traditionally made ghee can be grainy, solid, creamy or liquid, they are all natural and totally normal forms of Ghee. The variety of healthy fatty acids in the Ghee combined with its storage temperature define the texture of the Ghee.
Ghee that cools more rapidly, has a more solid texture than Ghee that is cooled slowly which then retains a softer or even completely liquid texture. The change in texture doesn't affect the taste, quality and shelf life of the Ghee and is perfectly safe to consume.

What should be the ideal colour of Pure Cow Ghee?

Himalayan Natives Desi Ghee is 100% Natural, made using the pure desi cow milk and by traditional methods. This might lead to variations in the colour and texture every time you buy it. This is because no essence, colour or standardization process is done to make the ghee look and taste the same every single time.
Ideally, the color of desi cow ghee is yellowish, yellow or golden. It is never pure white, but it can be pale with light golden liquid on the top.
