Our 100% Natural Pahadi Ghee is made from the extremely nutritious milk of our free-grazing Pahadi Cows. These cows are raised on the grassy foothills of the Himalayas and graze exclusively on the mineral-rich herbs and medicinal plants of the mountains.

The milk is ethically sourced from Pahadi cows and Ghee is made in the most natural way without any preservatives.

What are Pahadi Cows being fed?

Our Pahadi cows are grass-fed, not grain fed. They graze freely and are given natural fodder to eat. Our cattle are kept in a cruelty-free environment and treated with utmost love and care.

What should be the ideal consistency of my Ghee?

The texture of a traditionally made ghee can be grainy, solid, creamy or liquid, they are all natural and totally normal forms of Ghee. The variety of healthy fatty acids in the Ghee combined with its storage temperature define the texture of the Ghee.
Ghee that cools more rapidly, has a more solid texture than Ghee that is cooled slowly which then retains a softer or even completely liquid texture. The change in texture doesn't affect the taste, quality and shelf life of the Ghee and is perfectly safe to consume.

What should be the ideal colour of Pure Cow Ghee?

Himalayan Natives Ghee is 100% Natural, made using the pure desi cow milk and by traditional methods. This might lead to variations in the colour and texture every time you buy it. This is because no essence, colour or standardization process is done to make the ghee look and taste the same every single time.
Ideally, the color of desi cow ghee is yellowish, yellow or golden. It is never pure white, but it can be pale with light golden liquid on the top.
